Newest Bass Fishing Lures On The Market

Newest Bass Fishing Lures On The Market

While there are some so-called ‘new’ bass lures on the market, in actuality they are just re-vamped normal designs. There are a few exceptions:

The Banjo Minnow: Not really a new lure, but a different way of rigging a soft plastic bait. The infomercial says that it makes the lure move more naturally.

I’ve watched videos of it, and it doesn’t move any better than a lot of baits already on the market. Will it catch fish? Probably, at least sometimes. Is it better than baits already on the market? I doubt it. If you like them, use them.

The Flying Lure: A normal tube jig with a reversed weight on it. This causes the lure to swim AWAY from the casting point, keeping the line tight, and allowing it to ‘swim’ under undercuts and structure previously considered unreachable.

Invented by Alex Langer in the 1970s, this lure really did impact the market, and is still a good lure. Does it out fish others? Under some conditions, yes! Is it better than standard lures? No. It is a specialty lure that is one more tool for your tackle box.

I’d recommend having a few, but I don’t use them all the time. They work best near heavy structure and undercuts.

The Bionic Minnow: A Banjo Minnow clone. There are other ‘TV’ , supposedly ‘new’ lures out there, but suffice to say they are mostly for catching fisherman.

Lure fall into a few basic catagories:

Surface Plugs- the industry standard is the Heddon Chugger, and Rapala Poppers. Others that are time-proven are the Jitterbug, Torpedo, Hula Popper, Lucky 13, Devils Horse, Rapala Floating Minnow, Rebel ultralite Critters, Crazy Crawler, and the Zara Spook. New offerings are just different color schemes of the same.

Subsurface Plugs-also known as crankbaits, these include classics like the

Big O, Shad-Rap, Hellbender, Lazy Ike, Little George and Little Suzy, Cotton

Cordell’s Jointed Minnows, Bombers, and Yo Zuri Snap Beans. Again, new offerings are just new colors.

Soft Baits-these are jigs rigged with soft plastic bodies that imitate every aquatic creature in the planet, and some that only exist in nightmares!

They catch all predator species, in all waters, all the time, fresh or saltwater, inshore, offshore or along the shore.

There are many different ways to rig them, and they are the most versatile lures an angler can have. The industry standard is the still King of Lures, the Plastic Worm. This has probably accounted for more landed fish than any other bait ever used, including live bait. Other models imitate shad, crustaceans, minnows and other baitfish.

They are the top choice of most pro Tournament anglers. One of the top trout lures is the Trout Magnet, a soft inchworm-type bait that almost never fails if you find the right color combination for that particular time. This catagory also includes Tube Baits, which are phenominal. Also, the ultra-successful Sassy Shad family.

There is little new here. They already come in every size, color and shape imaginable. How can you improve on perfection? If I could only have one type of lure, this would be it, hands down!

You’re GUARANTEED to catch more fish with these NEW Exciting Sea Fishing Lures

In the late 90s, while on vacation in the south Pacific, Esca’s founder witnessed fishermen who used fish/squid with light organs as bait for other fish. These indigenous people had been doing this for generations.

We guarantee much better fishing results. Check out this new revolutionary invention and get ahead of your fishing friends. Buy the Award Winning ‘Esca Lures’ online at http://www.escalure.co.uk/

He decided to try to make a product that could imitate these lure lights. And thus, the idea for Esca was born.

For millions of years, marine animals have used lights to attract pretty, protect themselves or reproduce. On land such lights are rare, but in water there are light-producing creatures in virtually every cubic meter of the ocean. Bioluminescence, or Esca, is therefore visible light that is produced by living creatures.

Krill, for example are the ocean’s largest biomass, have multiple light organs are the main food for many fish and can be found at all ocean depths. In addition, many squid species use lure lights for multiple purposes.

But, no other species uses lure lights to attract its prey better than the angler fish.

The company’s name comes from an ocean-dwelling predator with a reputation for deadly efficiency – the angler fish, which uses its dangling light organ fishing antennae – called esca – to attract its prey.

1  At what water depths can I use Esca®?

Esca® can be used for fishing at all usual fishing depths. Esca® has been used successfully at depths more than 1,000 meters. We used many years in product development to ensure that we produce a high quality product made of robust components.

2  Can I use Esca® in the daytime or only at night?

Esca® can be used both during the day and at night although during the day. The electromagnetic field created by Esca® is equally strong at day and night. This electromagnetic field triggers the hunting and biting instincts in fish. The fish bite – and they bite harder! Naturally, the light itself will not be as visible in shallow waters during the daytime.

3  Do I have to use the treble hook?

Many customers choose to remove the treble hook so that the Esca® can be best rigged for their purposes

4  Do I need to do anything special to take care of my Esca®?

Your Esca® is made of robust components that can withstand everything from the depths of more than 1,000 meters to being knocked around in your tackle box. However, here are a couple of tips should you notice reduced performance.

Gold plating
When not in use, keep your Esca® away from salt water to prolong its lifetime. If you notice a white coating on the gold plating, carefully scrape this coating away with your fingernail or something similar. This coating could hamper performance.

Metal disk
After a couple of uses, the silver metal disk in the center of the Esca® will begin to look corroded. This is due to normal chemical reactions between metal and salt water.  You do not need to file / scrape / or do anything to clean it off. What you can do is to immerse the Esca in salt water for a minute or two.  When the metal disk gets saturated in the water, it will automatically recover and function properly again.

After many uses or after a long storage period, the metal disk on your Esca® will be oxidized and will turn dark grey in color. This color change will not reduce the effectiveness of the Esca®.

To prolong the life of your Esca®, we suggest that anglers rinse their Esca® with fresh water after their every fishing trip! However, this is not a necessity.  We have tested Esca® in which the metal disks were seriously rusted and the gold plating had a thick white coating. These samples had been continuously immersed in salt water for more than 120 hours. We cleaned off the white coating and they functioned perfectly again!

5  Does Esca® use batteries?

Esca® is powered by saltwater and has NO BATTERIES!!

6  Does Esca® work better in cold waters or warm waters?

We have customers who are setting personal records and winning competitions from around the world. From Iceland to Florida to South Africa – and everywhere in between, Esca® enhances all lures and tackle to help you catch more fish – and have more fun!

7  Does Esca® work in freshwater?

Esca® needs saltwater to produce energy. The current Esca® attractors therefor only work in saltwater.

8  How does Esca® trigger biting instincts?

When submerged in saltwater, Esca® creates an electromagnetic field making lures and bait come alive. Fish sense life and their hunting and biting instincts are triggered. The fish bite and they bite harder.

9  How much does Esca® weigh?

The Esca® itself (with no hook) weighs approximately 7 grams (.24 ounces).

10  How should I use the Esca®?

Use Esca® in combination with your favorite lures and tackle – the combinations are endless.
Esca® works great when combined with lures, tackle and/or bait. Since anglers know their local waters, they know which lures or bait work best. Esca® is an add-on that will enhance the performance of any lure or bait.

11  How strong is the light?

If you look at the light when you drop it in salt water, you may think that the light looks weak. However, this is one of the great features of Esca® – we used many years in product development to ensure that Esca® exactly mimic the light that is used by many marine organisms. Many light products on the market today emit unnatural light that is both static and too bright. They end up scaring the fish rather than attracting them.

We guarantee much better fishing results. Check out this new revolutionary invention and get ahead of your fishing friends. Buy the Award Winning ‘Esca Lures’ online at http://www.escalure.co.uk/

12  Is Esca® a green product?

Esca® is an environmentally friendly product. It contains no lead or mercury and is RoHS compatible (the electronics are environmentally safe).

Esca® is powered by saltwater and has NO BATTERIES.

13  What about the split rings?

Esca® can be used to catch fish of ALL sizes!! The split rings on the Esca® are 10 mm in diameter and will hold weights up to approximately 22 kg (50 lbs.).

14  What does Esca® mean?

Both the name Esca and the technology were inspired by the dangling light lure used by the anglerfish to attract its prey.

Anglerfish are famous for their unusual predatory technique. They use a “fishing pole” (illicium) that has a fleshy growth at the end called esca. This esca is the bait that the anglerfish uses to lure in its prey.

We built on this idea and expertly combined microchip technology with nature’s age old techniques to produce a deadly-effective attractor.

15  What is the difference between the multi-blink and the fading?

The multi-blink Esca® flashes on and off at a rapid, but variable rate. The fading Esca® light gradually illuminates to maximum brightness and then fades slowly down again and then the cycle repeats.

Our research has shown that both frequencies are equally effective at attracting fish. As with many things in nature, conditions are constantly changing and what works well one day, make not work as well the following day.
We encourage our customers to have the blue Esca® and the green Esca® — and to have both the multi-blink and fading light versions of each. This gives anglers the flexibility to try out different combinations to see what works best on a particular day.

16  What is the product lifetime of Esca®?

Your Esca® unit will last for a minimum of 100 hours of active fishing. This means the actual number of hours that the Esca® is in the water. Esca® activates on contact with salt water and deactivates when removed from salt water.

Esca® uses no batteries and is powered by salt water. All Esca® have a silver-colored disk on one side, made of an environmentally-friendly metal. During use in saltwater, this metal component gradually shrinks until it disappears and the unit stops working.

17  What kind of fish can I catch with Esca®?

Esca® gives you endless possibilities as it can be used with all types of lures, tackle and bait. Our customers have used Esca® to catch all types of saltwater fish.

Swordfish, grouper, redfish, sea bass, snapper, snook, flounder, fluke, cod, wolf fish, tarpon, jacks, kingfish, tusk, pollack, anglerfish, halibut, tuna etc. just to name a few…

18  When should I use green Esca® and when should I use blue Esca®?

Based on research and extensive testing, Esca Global has chosen specific green and blue light wavelengths that are the predominant lure lights emitted by krill, plankton, squid and many marine organisms.

In water, our blue light penetrates the farthest. Blue light penetrates approximately 250 meters while green light penetrates approximately 150 meters.

Clearness of the water also has an impact on light penetration. The open ocean has lower concentrations of dissolved matter, particles and phytoplankton – therefore light is not scattered/absorbed and the light remains blue. Coastal waters, on the other hand, particularly those with high concentrations of phytoplankton, are green and darker because plant pigments absorb blue and red light and reflect and scatter green light.

General rule: Blue for clear and deep water – Green for murky and shallower water.

But again, there is not exact answer because conditions are constantly changing. We encourage our customers to have the blue Esca® and the green Esca® — and to have both the multi-blink and fading light versions of each. This gives anglers the flexibility to try out different combinations to see what works best on a particular day

19  Where can I buy Esca®?

Since anglers know their local waters, they know which lures or bait work best. We encourage our customers to have the blue Esca® and the green Esca® — and to have both the multi-blink and fading light versions of each. This gives anglers the flexibility to try out different combinations to see what works best on a particular day based on the feeding patterns of the day, weather, time of day, tides, etc.

20  Which Esca® is best for which kind of fish?

Since anglers know their local waters, they know which lures or bait work best. We encourage our customers to have the blue Esca® and the green Esca® — and to have both the multi-blink and fading light versions of each. This gives anglers the flexibility to try out different combinations to see what works best on a particular day based on the feeding patterns of the day, weather, time of day, tides, etc.

21  Why is the light only on one side?
The light itself in on one side of the Esca® but the lure/tackle is generally in movement all the time which means that the light is visible from all sides. This is also true of the lure lights used by many marine animals

22  Why should I use Esca®?

Esca® is a genuinely new and innovative product that helps you catch more fish!

Esca®:

Attracts fish – In saltwater, Esca® in an attractor that replicates the wavelength, intensity and frequency of light emitted by different types of fish and plankton.
